SEC cross nation groups put together for NCAA Regionals

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Nov. 10, 2022)—–The cross nation packages of the Southeastern Convention will compete within the NCAA Regional Championships Friday at varied websites across the nation.

Eighteen groups will mechanically qualify for the NCAA Championships by ending as one of many high two groups at any of the 9 regional races. The remaining 13 at-large groups for the ultimate website are chosen by the NCAA Division I Cross Nation Subcommittee. Thirty-six people mechanically qualify for the championships races by being one of many high 4 regional finishers not on an advancing staff.

Two further people are chosen at massive by the committee. The NCAA Championships will likely be held Nov. 19 in Stillwater, Okla.

Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt will compete within the South Area Championship in Huntsville, Ala. The ladies’s 6K race is schedule to begin at 8:30 a.m. CT, whereas the lads’s 10K follows at 9:30 a.m. CT.

Arkansas, LSU and Texas A&M will run within the South Central Area Championship in Bryan-Faculty Station, Texas. The ladies’s race will start at 9:15 a.m. CT, adopted be the lads’s race at 10:15 a.m. CT.

Kentucky and South Carolina will compete within the Southeast Area Championship in Louisville, Ky. The ladies’s race is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. CT, adopted by the lads’s race at 11 a.m. CT.

Missouri will function host to the Midwest Area Championship in Columbia, Mo., with the ladies’s race slated for an 11 a.m. CT begin time, adopted by the lads’s race at 12 p.m. CT.

Three SEC males’s groups are ranked in the newest top-25: Alabama at No. 16, Tennessee at No. 20 and Arkansas at No. 22. Alabama is the best ranked SEC ladies’s staff at No. 7, whereas Arkansas is ranked twenty third.

Alabama swept the SEC Males’s and Girls’s Cross Nation Championships in Oxford, Miss., earlier this season.
